Hossa signs 12-year deal with the Chicago Blackhawks...

Marian Hossa signed a 12-year deal worth $62.8 million with the Chicago Blackhawks. Let me just say HAHAHAHAHA Marian Hossa, you suck, yes he got a big contract but he is still without the elusive Lord Stanley Cup. He spurned a 7-year $49 million deal with the Pittsburgh Penguins and signed a one year $7 million contract with the Detroit Red Wings because he felt it was his best chance to win the Stanley Cup. Well he was wrong because the Pens and Wings squared off in a rematch for the Stanley Cup championship and the Penguins came out on top. Maybe the Pens lost last year because Hossa was on the team and he didn't elevate his game the way he should have in the playoffs, but the same thing happened this year with the Wings losing with Hossa because once again he was unable to elevate his game to a championship level. Don't get me wrong Hossa is in a good situation in Chicago, they were in the Western Conference Finals this year and they have a couple of really good young stars but the Blackhawks overpaid for an underperfoming player. He had financial long term security in Pittsburgh and was loaded with lots of talent but instead he sold his soul for a chance to win the Cup. When that didn't work out he signed this huge deal but for a lot less money. I'm now glad he didn't sign with Pens because he would have taken up too much salary cap space and who is to say they would have won the Cup with him.

GO PENGUINS!
