Memphis to be stripped of 2008 title game season...

The NCAA is expected to make the decision to strip the Memphis Tigers of their best season in team history due to allegations that Derrick Rose cheated on a standardized admission test for the school. Rose spent one year at Memphis and lead them to 38-2 record, which is the best record in school history, and a trip to the national championship losing to the Kansas Jayhawks. Rose went on to become the 1st pick in the 2008 NBA draft by the Chicago Bulls. This is the second time a John Calipari team has been forced to forfeit games due to illegal handling of players, the other time was when he was with Massachusetts in 1996 when Marcus Camby accepted money from an agent. The Tigers deny any involvement in the case but they said they expected the result and they will move forward, they will not face any additional sanctions. This is a big blow to the up and coming college basketball powerhouse because now this will be used against them come recruiting time and they can't use the season as a bright point in their recent history. Also it's kind of funny that Calipari split before the sanctions took effect and now he leaves the program in a bad situation and he doesn't have to face any repercussions for something that went down under his watch, real classy man.
