Crabtree finally ends holdout...

On Wednesday Michael Crabtree finally ended his holdout that lasted into the first month of season by coming to terms with the San Francisco 49ers on a contract that is 6 years long. The signing comes one day after Crabtree and his agent met with the 49ers vice president of football operations Paraag Marathe face to face to see if they could revive the contract talks. Crabtree is expected to partake in practices the rest of the week but his game status has yet to be determined but they have a bye week next week so he will have some extra time to prepare.

I really liked Crabtree while he was in college and coming into the draft I thought he was the best player and should have been the number 1 pick and I was shocked that the Raiders passed on him for Darrius Hayward-Bey. Now I think he is a bit of a jackass for feeling like he should be paid as much or more than someone who was drafted four spots ahead of him and just now signing ruining his rookie season. Yes he was more talented then DHB but in the real world he wasn't drafted that way and he hasn't done anything yet to prove that he is better than anybody else in the NFL, in fact he has done the complete opposite by not attending the combine, not running on his pro day at Texas Tech, and now he has become the biggest diva at wide receiver in the NFL and he hasn't even put on pads yet. Hopefully this holdout was just a hiccup in the road for the very talented wide out and he learns from this and becomes what he is capable of being, a Pro Bowl caliber player.
