Oh yeah the MLB playoffs finally started....

After a 162 game regular season( I guess 163 for the Twins if you want to get technical about it) the long arduous journey to the MLB playoffs is finally here and it kicked off with three games yesterday. Somehow the Twins who played on Tuesday got screwed and had to play the very next day against the Yankees in New York. I don't think tzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.... Oh sorry I fell a sleep just talking about baseball it's that boring, anyway here's what happened....

The defending World Series Champions the Philadelphia Phillies won 6-1 over the Colorado Rockies. Ace Cliff Lee pitched the entire game giving up only 6 hits and 1 earned run and striking out 5 batters.
Phillies lead best of 5 series 1-0

C.C. Sabathia finally won a meaningful game in October and the Yankees got contributions from captain Derek Jeter and well known steroid user and post season choker Alex Rodriguez during a 7-2 trouncing of the tired Minnesota Twins. Sabathia pitched 6 and two-thirds of an inning and struck out 8 batters while only giving up 1 run on 8 hits. ARoid drove in 2 runs and Jeter hit a home run in the in the first inning.
Yankees lead best of 5 series 1-0

And the Los Angeles Dodgers knocked off the St. Louis Cardinals 5-3 to take the first game of the series. Albert Pujols went 0-3 with a walk and the Cardinals missed a lot of opportunities. Manny Ramirez for the Dodgers was 1-4 with a walk and Rafeal Furcal was the catalyst for the offense going 3-4 with an RBI and triple.
Dodgers lead best of 5 series 1-0
