"Big Baby" Glenn Davis re-signs with the Celtics...
The Boston Celtics made a "big" splash in free agency yesterday by re-signing Glenn Davis to a two year contract. The contract is worth $6 million and will keep Davis with the team that drafted him. The move will help the Celtics a lot because Rasheed Wallace loses his cool too much and Kevin Garnett is starting to get up there in age. Davis came on at the end of the season and into the playoffs after KG was lost for the rest of the season. Davis got a significant increase in minutes which resulted in him doubling his scoring average from 7 points per game to 15.8 in the playoffs. Big Baby is in the perfect situation right now because he can sit back and soak up all the knowledge from Wallace and KG and when either of those two go down he is more than capable of stepping in and helping the team win. This move I think puts the Celtics back a top the Eastern Conference because they have a plethora of guys to throw at Dwight Howard and Shaq and they were close to making it back to the Conference finals but they were without Garnett. With this move the Boston Celtics are probably the deepest and most talented team in the East.
