Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Charlie Batch was one of the first Mid-American Conference quarterbacks to start for an NFL franchise starting the trend that opened doors for the likes of Byron Leftwich, Chad Pennington, and Ben Roethlisberger. While at Steeler training camp Batch talked about being a trend setter and playing for the first time in almost a year.
