Plax takes plea deal and will go to jail for 2 years...

Former New York Giants wide receiver Plaxico Burress plead guilty to weapons charges and will go to jail for two years. Burress pleaded guilty to a lesser charge of attempted criminal possession of a weapon and after serving his two years he will be released under supervision for two years. Plax's sentenced could be reduced to 20 months if he displays good behavior. Burress was arraigned after shooting himself in the thigh while at a night club during the regular season and the Giants suspended him for the rest of the year before releasing him in the offseason. NFL commissioner Roger Goodell has yet to speak on the Burress situation but it is believed that Goodell will suspend him when he does make a decision.
