With the start of training camp a week away I will present my NFL power rankings. Sure anything can happen between now and the start of the season(Roesthlisberger eventually being suspended for the rape allegations) but talking about the NFL is just to fun, actually it's way more fun than talking or watching baseball. Plus there are no new stories involving the NBA, NHL, or college sports so here are the NFL preseason power rankings starting with 32-23...
32. Oakland Raiders: The Raiders have a lot of glaring holes across the board, Tom Cable is a lame duck coach and Al Davis is no longer relevant in today's NFL
31. St. Louis Rams: The Rams have a new coach and very little help on the offensive side of the ball for Marc Bulger and Steven Jackson. Defense has youth but they are not prepared to win now
30. N.Y. Jets: New coach, new quarterback, and new defense will make for a long season in New York. The defense will eventually solidify but Brett Favre set this offense back a few year and they have no replacement for Laverneous Coles
29. Detroit Lions: The Lions have made a lot of smart moves this offseason and there is nowhere to go for this team but up and this team will be more physical and will not lay down for teams this year
28. Cleveland Browns: New coach, same coaching tree. The Browns have not settled on a QB yet and they traded away Kellen Winslow and there is no true #2 option at wideout
27. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: The Bucs fired their coach and they got rid of the only QB who won games for them the last few years. They cut ties with Derrick Brooks and they will have a rookie starting at QB
26.Denver Broncos: New coach Josh McDaniels traded away franchise QB Jay Cutler and star receiver Brandon Marshall wants out. Oh yeah Denver had one of the worst defenses last year but they brought in a lot of help but will it add up?
25. Kansas City Chiefs: Fiery head coach and Matt Cassel at QB should make this team better but they still lack playmakers on defense and they need someone else to catch the ball besides Dwayne Bowe
24. San Fransisco 49ers: Mike Singletary himself makes this team better plus they picked up a game changer in Michael Crabtree. They need consistency at QB and they need playmakers on defense
23.Jacksonville Jaguars: The Jaguars hope they addressed their offensive line needs but they lack quality receivers outside of Torry Holt and their are questions as to whether Maurice Jones Drew can carry the load? Defense has questions also but they usually put together a quality defense each year
