NFL to expand the draft to three days...
In a money making move the NFL has decided to move the NFL draft next season to three days starting in prime time on Thursday, Friday, and wrapping up Saturday afternoon/evening. The move is smart on their part because they could potentially make a lot of money from this with revenues generated from selling commercials during the busiest night in television. This affects the fans though(which is what usually happens when businesses make decisions based on money) because now they will have to sacrifice a couple of week nights to watch this. I didn't like the fact that they switched the starting time for this past draft because I loved the idea of rolling out of bed at noon, turning on the t.v. for the draft, settling in with a big bowl of cereal, and not really moving until my team selected their player. Who wants to change their schedule on a Friday night to stay home and watch the second round of the draft? Not many people that I know would do that, I'm not even sure I would and I love the NFL draft. Oh well I guess the fans get screwed again what can you do? Do you like the idea of the NFL moving the day of the draft? Let me know, leave a comment or email me at wordlife56@hotmail.com
