Tiger Woods misses cut at the British Open...
Well it looks like Tiger Woods hasn't fully recovered from his knee surgery that shortened his 2008 season as he missed the cut yesterday by one stroke at the British Open. Tiger shot a 4-over-74 sending him home for the weekend for only the second time ever at one of the PGA's major tournaments. AARP card carrying member Tom Watson is tied for the lead after 36-holes at 5-under along with Steve Marino. But of course Tiger missing the cut is the bigger story because he is the best golfer in the world. The last time Woods missed a cut was at the U.S. Open in 2006 and his father had just died, so he had every excuse then but what about now. People complain about the British Open courses because the Brits take care of their courses differently and they don't look as pretty as they do here, but there is no reason for Tiger to be going home. This is the PGA's loss, sure Watson will draw in some of the older crowd as they root for him but no one in sports draws a crowd like Tiger Woods. I'm sure this will only motivate him even more to get back out there and show everyone that he is the old Tiger Woods but he clearly is not back to his old self and only time will tell when he will be fully healed.
