The Los Angeles Dodgers swept the first round of the playoffs for the second consecutive year dominating the St. Louis Cardinals 5-1. Omar Vicente(who was unemployed just 3 months ago) held the power bats of the Cardinals in check pitching 7 innings and only giving up four hits and no runs. Manny Ramirez doubled in the second to drive in a run and he picked up another RBI on a single in the seventh. After the first MANRAM RBI Adam Ethier hit a home run in the third and Rafeal Furcal drove in a run in the fourth.
