Yankees rally but come up short, Angels win 7-6....

The Los Angeles Angels took an early 4-0 lead, then blew it, then gained it back and were facing bases loaded in the ninth but they ultimately made the key play to hold off the New York Yankees 7-6 and they live to fight another day.

In the first inning Torii Hunter hit a two run single, Vladamir Guerrero doubled in Hunter for a 3-0 lead and then Kendry Morales hit a single that brought home Vlad and before the Yankees knew it they were down 4-0 after the first inning.

The Yankees would rally in the seventh inning though and it all started with Mark Teixeira. Teixeira double to center field driving home Melky Cabrera, Jorge Posada, and Derek Jeter bringing the Yanks within one at 4-3. But New York was not done there as Hideki Matsui hit a single that brought home Teixeira and then Robinson Cano tripled to center bringing in ARoid Alex Rodriguez and Matsui giving the Yankees a 6-4 lead.

The Angels would not be denied though scoring three runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to take a 7-6 lead. In the ninth inning the Yankees would have the bases loaded with Nick Swisher at bat, he worked himself into a full count, but closer Brian Fuentes got Swisher to pop out to shallow center field and just like that the Angels are back in the ALCS. Game 6 is Saturday night back in New York.
Yankees lead best of 7 series 3-2
